Bothremydidae
Bothremydidae là một họ rùa đã tuyệt chủng được phân loại trong nhóm rùa cổ bên, thuộc về phân bộ Pleurodira trong bộ Testudines, cũng giống như những họ hàng thời hiện đại của chúng, họ rùa này có tập tính sống ở những vùng nước ngọt, nhưng nhiều loài rùa trong họ này đã được chứng minh là sống trong môi trường biển [1] dù vậy chúng chẳng liên quan gì đến những loài rùa biển hiện đại ngày nay. Họ rùa này đã tuyệt chủng trong thế Oligocene hoặc Miocene.[2][3]
