Rhyacichthyidae
Rhyacichthyidae là một họ nhỏ, chứa các loài cá bống nhỏ với chiều dài 8–25 cm. Chúng sinh sống gần đáy trong môi trường từ nước mặn tới nước lợ hay nước ngọt ở châu Đại Dương và miền tây Thái Bình Dương.

Theo truyền thống xếp trong phân bộ Gobioidei của bộ Perciformes[1], với 2 chi và 3 loài đã biết. Tuy nhiên, khi phân bộ Cá bống được phục hồi thành bộ riêng thì họ này được xếp trong phân bộ Odontobutoidei của bộ Gobiiformes[2].
Trong nội bộ bộ Gobiiformes thì Rhyacichthyidae có quan hệ họ hàng gần với họ Odontobutidae và chúng cùng nhau tạo thành nhóm có quan hệ chị em với phần còn lại của bộ Gobiiformes[3].
