Một công trình tiếp theo sau đó được viết bởi Peri, tác phẩm “Euridice”, được xác định viết từ năm 1600, đó chính là bản hòa âm Opera đầu tiên mà vẫn còn tồn tại cho đến ngày hôm nay. Để thể hiện long tôn kính với tác phẩm Opera đầu tiên, người ta vẫn thường biểu diễn tác phẩm đó một cách đều đặn trong các buổi trình diễn. Mặc dù thế, sau đấy tiếp tục vẫn có sự đóng góp của tác phẩm Orfeo do Claudio Monteverdi sáng tác để phục vụ cho cung điện trong năm 1607.
