Việc xây dựng sân vận động, [[Deutsches Stadion]] (sân vận động Đức), bắt đầu 1912 tại nơi từng là [[Trường đua ngựa Grunewald]]. Sân vận động được ước tính có sức chứa 18.000 chỗ ngồi.
