Tỉnh này nằm ở vùng trung bộ của hòn đảo, giáo với Đại Tây Dương về phía bắc, tỉnh [[Matanzas]] về hướng tây, [[Sancti Spiritus]] về hướng đông, và [[Cienfuegos]] về hướng nam.
