[[kanji|Chữ Hán]] "Lệnh Hòa" được lấy từ ''[[Man'yōshū|Vạn diệp tập]]'', hợp tuyển hòa ca (和歌, ''waka'') ra đời hồi thế kỷ VIII dưới [[Thời kỳ Nara|thời Nara]].
