Ở vòng loại trực tiếp, 8 đội thi đấu theo thể thức [[đấu loại trực tiếp]]. Các cặp đấu diễn ra theo thể thức 1 lượt. [[extra time (association football)|Hiệp phụ]] và [[penalty shoot-out (association football)|loạt sút luân lưu]] sẽ được sử dụng nếu cần thiết (Điều lệ 9.3 và 10.1).

Bán kết khu vực Tây Á diễn ra theo thể thức 1 lượt, với việc đội chủ nhà sẽ được xác định theo cơ chế bốc thăm dựa trên bảng đấu có đội nhì bảng lọt vào vòng loại trực tiếp. Nếu đội nhất bảng gặp đội nhì bảng, đội nhất bảng sẽ là chủ nhà.
