Vào ngày 19 tháng 4 năm 2020, [[TV Tokyo]], MediaNet và ShoPro thông báo tạm ngừng sản xuất và phát sóng các tập phim mới do [[đại dịch COVID-19]] tại Nhật Bản. Bài hát mở đầu của Nhật Bản của bộ phim là "One, Two, Three" (１・２・３ ワン・ツー・スリ, Wan, Tsū, Surī) được trình bày bởi [[After the Rain]]'s[[Soraru]] và [[Mafumafu]]. Bài hát kết thúc của phim là "Pokémon Shiritori (''Pikachu → Mew Ver''.)" (ポケモンしりとり ピカチュウ→ミュウver., ''Pokémon Shiritori Pikachū → Myū Ver.'') trong 18 tập đầu, và Pokemon Shiritori (Mew → Zamazenta Ver.)" (ポケモンしりとり ミュウ→ザマゼンタver., Pokémon Shiritori Myū → Zamazenta Ver.) bởi Pokémon Music Club's Pokémon Kids 2019 từ tập 20 trở đi.
