Bản mẫu này có thể được sử dụng để tạo liên kết tới một repository hoặc một tập tin trên GitHub. Liên kết tới bài GitHub có thể tắt đi với tham số |link=no, và phần nhắc tới GitHub có thể bỏ đi hoàn toàn với tham số |link=hidden.
