s garden plants in. Heasked Naboth to sell him the vineyard. But Naboth wouldnot, for he had this vineyard from his father. Then Ahab grew displeased and sad. Then the wicked queen Jezebel said, Are you not king?Well, then, take the vineyard! Get some men to say thatNaboth has sworn against God and you, the king. Then theywill stone Naboth to death, and you can take the vineyard. Sad to say, they did so! And the dogs licked the blood ofNaboth. Then comes Elijah, right into the vineyard. He meetsAhab face to face. He tells Ahab, God says to you thatHe will punish you. And dogs shall lick thy blood in thesame place where they licked the blood of Naboth. And thedogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. Did it cometrue? It always comes true when God says anything. Longafterwards Ahab was wounded in battle, and his blood waslicked by dogs when Ahabs chariot was washed in that veryspot. Still later Jezebel was thrown out of the palace windowand killed.
