English: Summary from K. Niver: "This film shows the citation, presentation, and dedication of a bridge by the Duke of York, later King of England and grandfather of Queen Elizabeth. Many high-ranking military officials of both England and Canada are with him."
See Kemp R. Niver, Early Motion Pictures: The Paper Print Collection in the Library of Congress, Washington, Library of Congress, 1985, p. 85.
Note that although that description appears on the website of the Library of Congress, it is not entirely accurate. The document does not show the dedication of a bridge.

This document contains segments of some films from the series Duke and Duchess of York in Canada. They were filmed by James H. White for the Edison Manufacturing Co. during the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York in the cities of Québec and Montréal, which took place on September 16-20, 1901. This document is the transfer on film of the paper print that was deposited with the Library of Congress for purposes of copyright protection. It contains segments extracted from at least three films of the series. The descriptions are from the catalog of the Edison Manufacturing Co.: Edison Films, no. 135, Orange (N.J.), Edison Manufacturing Co., September 1902, p. 26-27 :
  • DUKE AND DUCHESS OF YORK LEAVING THE RAILROAD STATION AT MONTREAL, CANADA
They are seen walking across the streets to their carriage. Class B 40 ft. $4,80 [1]
  • THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF YORK PRESENTING MEDALS TO BOER WAR VETERANS AT THE UNVEILING OF THE QUEEN'S STATUE
    Class B 75 ft. $9,00 [2]
  • THE DUKE AND DUCHESS ARRIVING AT QUEBEC
The wharf at Quebec is here shown with a regiment of Canadian Infantry drawn up in line. The Duke and Duchess of York walk straight toward our camera accompanied by a corps of Military Officers and Canadian notables. The picture ends by showing the Duke and Duchess leaving the wharf in their carriage. Class B 100 ft. $12,00 [3]

The film in Québec was shot 16 September 1901. The films in Montréal were shot 18 September 1901. The document does not show the scenes from the films in chronological order.
The identification Duke of York at Montreal and Quebec refers to the paper print. The paper print was eventually transferred on film support for preservation. It is not one of the films in the series, although it has sometimes been mistakenly listed as such.

Shot of official party, accompanied by Lord Middelton and Prime Minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier, walking towards and past camera. MCS of the Duke of York riding in open carriage.
