«Flagget er hvitt med rød rand på tre sider og med byvåpenet midt i duken. Den røde fargen skal være den samme som i det norske flagget. Proporsjoner: Hvit duk, høyde 9 deler, bredde tolv deler. Rød kant på tre sider 1 del. Avstand mellom skjold og øvre og nedre kant er 2 deler.» (Profilmanual for Bergen kommune) English: The official flag of the city of Bergen. "The flag is white with a red border on three sides and the city arms centred on the cloth. The red colour shall be the same as in the Norwegian flag. Starting with the red colour, it is stated to be the same red as in the Norwegian flag. That shade of red is officially given as Pantone 186 C by the Nordic Council as well as the Nordic Flag Society.
