Radium (88Ra) không có đồng vị bền vững hoặc gần bền vững và do đó không thể đưa ra trọng lượng nguyên tử chuẩn. Đồng vị tồn tại lâu nhất và phổ biến nhất của đồng vị radium là sup>226Ra với chu kỳ bán rã 1.600 năm.226Ra xảy đến trong chuỗi phân rã của 238U (thường được gọi là radium series.) Radium có 33 đồng vị đã biết từ 202Ra đến 234Ra.
Vào năm 2013, người ta phát hiện hạt nhân của Radium-224 có hình quả lê.[1] Đây là khám phá đầu tiên về một hạt nhân bất đối xứng.
